Process Instances
This section displays information of all instances of the selected process flow conforming to the specified date and time range (if specified). The screen displays a dynamic description of the instance. Click the instance to display the history of all tasks associated with this instance. Additionally, this section also displays the current status of the selected process flow instance, the name of the person who executed this instance, the start time of the instance, and total execution time.
The instances that are queued but not yet executed are not displayed in this section. However, they are included in the count of In-Progress column, in the Existing Solutions section.
At any time, you can terminate a process flow. To terminate a process flow, click Action corresponding to the process flow.
Abort: This action aborts the Process Flow instantly whenever the execution of currently running activity is complete.
Kill: This action hard kill and terminates the Process Flow on the currently running activity as per the scenarios mentioned below:
- Termination of data mapping activities: If the mapping activity participating in the process flow is using any function from DB Query, set-context, and get-context then Kill action would be applicable for mapping activity.
- Termination of schema activities: If the schema activity participating in the process flow is implemented for Text, Excel and Positional schema, and DB schema.
If the Process flow is in Running state apart from the above scenarios then it wouldn't be terminated at that time.
When you terminate the process flow using any of the above options (Kill or Abort), a dialog box is displayed confirming that your request has been submitted.
Rerun
You can execute your aborted process flows again through Rerun feature. By default, this feature is disabled, until you use Checkpoint actions in your process flow and enable rerun for the used checkpoints. After identifying the reason of the failure, you can rectify and rerun the process flow for successful execution. The process flows may be aborted due to any reason (incorrect data mapping or schema definition).
To Rerun a process flow:
- Rectify the error.
- Click Action corresponding to the process flow that you want to execute again.
- Click Rerun.
