Using the Solution Promotion wizard

You can migrate Adeptia Connect objects from one environment to another by using the Solution Promotion wizard. For migrating the objects you need to perform two operations – Export, and Import. 

To export the objects, you need to use Export Package to create an exported ZIP containing the exported objects. Once the exported ZIP is created, you need to use this ZIP with Import Package feature to import the objects to the target environment.

The following two sections describe the steps to export and import the objects in detail.

It is strongly recommended that you use Solution Promotion wizard only to promote the objects from an AC v4.x environment to another AC v4.x environment. To migrate objects from an AC v3.x environment to AC v4.x, you are required to follow the relevant steps given in this section.

Important

If ever you use Solution Promotion wizard to migrate the AC v3.x objects to AC v4.x environment, ensure that you do not perform the Rollback operation using the rollback ZIP created during the import process–it may result in inconsistencies in data.
