This feature transfer objects of the selected groups from one environment to another. For example, a project is in the Production stage, and a few enhancements are requested by the client. To incorporate these enhancements, the project will have to be transferred across various environments. The objects of the project will be changed in the Development environment. Once the changes are done, they will be internally tested, before the project is sent to the QA environment, where it is thoroughly tested again. Once the QA team is done, it will send the project to the Production environment.
Instead of transferring the entire project, which could take time, you can just transfer the objects that have been changed. The Migration utility allows you to create a zip file of all the objects (that has been changed) and promote them across the environments.
Ensure that you have run the Migration utility and selected Environment Promotion on the Select the action window.
After selecting the Environment Promotion option, you need to select the action that you want to perform.
