Deploy

This section details how to deploy the objects to the target environment. Before you start deploying, ensure that you have run the Migration utility and selected Environment Promotion option. 

1. Select Deploy on the Environment Promotion Actions window and click Next. 

2. Browse to and select the zip file created in the Promote process.

   

    

3. Click Next. 

4. Browse to and select the Adeptia Suite location (till AdeptiaServer folder) on which the zip is to be deployed, for example, C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite\AdeptiaSuite-<version>\AdeptiaServer.

   
   

    

5. Click Next. 

6. Provide your name in the specified field. This is just to keep track of who deployed the objects.

   
   

7. Click Next to select the user ownership. The list of all IT Users of the target environment appears.
8. Select a user to give ownership of the migrated objects. If you select a user, all the migrated objects will be assigned to the user. In case you don't select, all the users with migrated objects from the source environment will move to the target environment.
   
    
   
   

9. Click Next to start deploying.

10. A dialog box appears confirming objects have been deployed successfully.
    

    
    
    

    During migration, if the user exists with the same name and different user ids at both the source and the target environment then objects will not be migrated if:

    • both group and group type of the user mismatches.

    • only group type of the user mismatch.

    • only group of the user mismatch. 

11. Click OK.
12. Click Finish to complete the deploy process and exit the Migration utility.
