Migration Utility

Migration utility wizard enables you to seamlessly migrate activities from one environment of Adeptia Connect to another. It features both interactive (GUI and Console-based) and non-interactive modes of migration. 

This wizard is of immense help at various stages of implementation, right from development to staging to production environment, of Adeptia Connect. For instance, you can migrate activities from the development to the staging environment by following some simple and intuitive steps and the same holds true for the migration of activities from the staging to the production environment too. It helps you:

• Promote activities across environments (for example, development environment to staging environment and vice-versa)
• Migrate all activities from one environment to another environment
• Take a backup of Adeptia Connect
• Apply Accelerator

 The wizard gives you three options to perform the migration: 

Environment Promotion: It helps you promote a set of activities across environments. This migration is at the user level, where you can select a group and promote all its activities to another environment.

Migration: It allows you to migrate all activities from one environment to another environment. Additionally, it also facilitates you to take the backup of all activities and configuration files in the current installation and restore them whenever required. 

Install Accelerator: It allows you to apply the Accelerators, for example, EDI Accelerators, Data Interface, and more. 

Migration utility runs both in interactive and non-interactive modes. Interactive mode refers to an intuitive interface (GUI or CUI) wherein this utility runs you through a set of steps and asks you for inputs required to perform the migration. Alternatively, you can run the Migration utility in non-interactive mode, also referred to as silent mode. In silent mode, the utility gets information from a configuration file in XML format.
