  • Support for Apache Kafka
    Adeptia Connect now also supports Apache Kafka for consuming and publishing Kafka messages. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Diagnostics test for Adeptia Connect
    Adeptia Connect now offers you an integrated Diagnostics test feature. You can run the Diagnostics test post installation to verify if the Adeptia Connect application has been installed properly and all the services including process flows, database connections, events, etc. are working as expected. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Using graphical notation to create mapping rules in web mapper
    You now have got the option to apply the mapping rules graphically. The option, "Graphical Rule", is available under the Mapping Expression tab in web mapper. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Layout Builder for Advanced Text Layout
    You can create an Advanced Text layout using the Layout Builder by uploading the data file. It helps minimize the manual efforts in the creation of the layouts. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Custom Template now comes with the following enhancements:
    • You can now use the same service multiple times in a process flow.
    • The name and description of the steps are now configurable in a template. Earlier, they were picked from the service details given in the process flow. 
    • You can mark a service in a process flow as non-configurable in a template. Earlier, all the services in the process flow were required to be configured in the template.
    • Using a database as a source or target in a custom template is now simplified. It does not require you to add a gateway condition as an additional step in the process flow.

  • Updated email notifications settings in Templates
    A new setting option, “Do Not Notify”, for email notification has been added in the Settings section of the Template. Select this option if you do not want to receive an email notification after the execution of a transaction is over. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Configuration setting option for email notification in Transactions
    Transaction Settings section has now got the email notification setting options ("Always", "On Error", and "Do Not Notify") to define the email notification behavior. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Access to a Template for multiple partners 
    You now have the flexibility of granting access to a Template to multiple partners at the same time. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Prevent creation of duplicate transaction for similar “Contains” criteria in context based routing
    Adeptia Connect now validates if the "Contains" criterion in context based routing is already used in other transactions to prevent the creation of duplicate transactions. 


  • Support for creating REST Webhook using REST Provider service
    You can now select a REST Provider service for creating a REST Webhook template. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Publishing a simple REST or SOAP Webhook to a port other than the default one
    You can now choose to publish a REST or a SOAP Webhook to a port other than the default one while creating a Template which uses a Webhook of either type as a source. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Using Network to control the access to transactions
    With this release, the transactions will be filtered based on the Network only. Earlier, the transactions were filtered based on the partner.


  • "Remove from favorite" option for a transaction
    You can now remove a transaction from the favorite transactions list on the home page.


  • Support to kill or abort a running Transaction
    You now get two options, "Kill" and "Abort", in the transaction dashboard to terminate a running Transaction. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Customized email notification format
    With this release, you can customize the format of the email notification that is sent to the user after the execution of a Template or Transaction is over. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Support for OAuth2.0 authentication in 'Mail' services
    Adeptia Connect now supports OAuth2.0 authentication for the following Mail services:
  • Support to see the mappings added in the AIMap library
    You can filter the mappings on the Mapping page to see which all mappings are added in the AIMap library. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Configurable login attempts
    The properties for login attempts are now configurable which allows you to control an invalid login attempt based on the following three parameters:
    • Invalid login attempt count: You can configure the number of valid login attempts. 
    • Invalid attempt time span: You can limit the number of attempts within the stipulated time. 
    • Lockout time: You can define for how long the users' account will be locked after their login attempts are over.

  • GAC support for LDAP users' permission model
    With GAC enabled, Adeptia Connect now supports an enhanced configuration setting to allow you to update the LDAP users' permission when they log in for the first time through the Adeptia Connect portal.


  • Support for customizing the Alert message on Adeptia Connect session timeout
    You can now customize the Alert message that appears when the Adeptia Connect session timeout occurs. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Support to disable plain FTP

  • Support for creating partners in bulk

  • Exporting EDI X12 Interchanges and EDI X12 Messages logs
    Adeptia Connect now allows you to export the EDI X12 Interchanges and EDI X12 Messages logs to an Excel file. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Support to filter data interface logs based on GAC
    Data interface logs are now GAC controlled and access control is based on project access. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Masking of PII data in EDI logs
    The personally identifiable information in the EDI logs can now be masked to prevent it from being available for unauthorized users. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Availability of EDI reports on the dashboard
    Adeptia Connect now provides you the following EDI reports on the dashboard tab. 
    • Duplicate Check 
    • Missing SAP IDOCs in EDI
    • Missing EDI Documents in SAP

  • Improvement in the "Move Objects" feature
    The "Move Objects" feature to transfer one user's objects to another user has been improved to bring in the following enhancements:
    • The system notifies you of the successful transfer of all the objects.
    • Movement of objects from one user to another user does not stop even if it encounters a failed transfer for an object. 
    • The system now lists the successful and failed objects under the "Success" and "Error" tabs respectively at the end of the process.
    • The system throws an alert message for confirmation when the objects of a logged-in user are being moved.

  • Updated Usage Summary page

  • Sorting of triggers on Scheduler page
    On the scheduler page, you can now sort the triggers based on the following four parameters:
    • Trigger name
    • Trigger type
    • Previous fire time
    • Next fire type

  • Support for the view-only mode in web process designer
    Adeptia Connect now allows you to open web process designer in view-only mode. You cannot edit a process flow in this mode. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Support for the view-only mode in web mapper
    Adeptia Connect now allows you to open web mapper in view-only mode. You cannot edit a mapping in this mode. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Support for Remove Mapping option at source element
    The Remove Mapping option is now also available in the source layout fields in web mapper. This is especially helpful when the source element is mapped to multiple destination elements. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • The project scope for Custom Auto Maps and XSL Templates in Web mapper
    With this release, the Custom Auto Map(s) and XSL Template(s) can belong to a project. The project can be assigned to these two services while creating them in the Web mapper

  • GAC driven permissions for services in Web Mapper
    The following services in the web mapper are now GAC controlled based on the project:
    • Custom Auto Map
    • XSL Template
    • Value Map

  • Integration of Secure Bridge Agent Manager into Adeptia Connect 
    Secure Bridge Agent Manager is now an integral part of Adeptia Connect. You can now manage your agents directly from the Adeptia Connect interface. Click here to know more about this option. 

  • Supports for "special characters" in the Description field of Adeptia Connect services
    Adeptia Connect now also supports the following special characters "(, ), {, }, [, ]" in the "Description" field for all the services.

  • Notification on Kernel or Scheduler not running
    Adeptia Connect now notifies you on the Connect Portal GUI if the Kernel or Scheduler stops running for some reason. The notification contains the link to the System Console page where you can check the status of the Kernel or Scheduler.

  • Generating printable layout specification
    You now have the option to get all the details of a layout in a printable pdf format document. This option works for the following layouts:
    • Advanced Database
    • Advanced Positional
    • Advanced Text
    • Database
    • Excel
    • Positional
    • Text

  • Support of OAuth 2.0 for QuickBooks business application
    With this release, the QuickBooks business application in Adeptia Connect has been upgraded to support OAuth 2.0 authorization.  

  • Support of OAuth 2.0 for Xero business application
    With this release, the Xero business application in Adeptia Connect has been upgraded to support OAuth 2.0 authorization. 


  • Customizable icon for My Solutions tab
    You can now customize the icon of the “My Solutions” tab using the option in Theme Settings in Adeptia Connect. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Support to override Truststore and Keystore used in Security Policy at runtime
    You can now override Truststore and Keystore activities at runtime in the Security Policy for the web service Consumer that is used in the process flow. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Capturing the "Last Modified By" details for transactions and templates
    The user Id of the users is now captured while they perform the following actions on templates or transactions:
    • Activate 
    • Deactivate 
    • Edit

  • Capturing the role of the users
    Adeptia Connect now also captures the role of the logged-in user who performs any of the following actions on a Template or Transaction:
    • Create
    • Update
    • Activate
    • Deactivate

  • Apache Camel connector overriding the Secured Inet Factory 
    With this release, Adeptia Connect uses the Apache Camel connector even if you have selected Secured Inet Factory while creating an FTP service. 


  • No direct login to Connect Server
    Now you cannot log in to Connect Server directly by using the Server URL. You can access the Connect Server through Connect Portal only, click Configure > Developer Studio > Proceed.


Security enhancements

  • Access token cookies are now more secure with the support for setting the secure and HttpOnly flags for them.

  • The HTTP Strict-Transport-Security (HSTS) header has been added in the response to let the browser know that the application can only be accessed using HTTPS.

  • Vulnerable third party jars have been upgraded to remove critical and high vulnerabilities in those jars.

  • The Ext JS framework has been upgraded to the v7.3 in Adeptia Connect.

  • The jQuery version has been upgraded to the v3.5.0 in web process designer.

Developer Studio features supported in Adeptia Connect

  • Support for creating and managing services
    You can create and manage the following services in Adeptia Connect. Earlier, these services were available in Developer Studio.
  • Support to display AS2 logs 
    AS2 logs page is now available in Adeptia Connect Dashboard page. Click here to know more about this option. 


  • Support for system properties 
    You can now view and update the system properties of a server node from the Adeptia Connect interface itself. Earlier you needed to access Developer Studio to update the system properties. Click here to know more about this option. 

Bug fixes

The following bugs have been fixed with this release:

  • The system throws an error while cleaning up the archived logs in Adeptia Connect. 
  • Custom Users are not able to edit the Theme Settings even if they have the required permission.
  • The temporary files generated after the execution of excel layouts are not getting deleted.
  • The repository folder still contains the context info and context variable details after the successful execution of the process flow even if the Repository File Retention is set to "Delete On Success".
  • Data from the multiple source layouts attached to the data viewer is not reflecting in the debugger.
  • Descriptions of entities in Adeptia Connect is not aligned and compatible with those in Adeptia Suite.
  • Errors related to the log tables while exporting the objects using offline migration utility.
  • While creating an XSL template, the user is not able to place the source field inside the Textual Rule and XSL Rules window.
  • Issue related to an error message appearing when the destination layout built in XML is previewed. 
  • When processing a Text layout, the system throws an error while parsing a numeric data with (+) sign associated with it. 
  • The user is not able to update the objects' names after they have been migrated from one environment to another. 
  • The status of transactions is not displayed correctly on the Adeptia Connect Dashboard.
  • Issue related to the deployment of jars of web process designer and web mapper after applying the patch. 
  • In Data Mapping, the Target EDI file does not contain a single quote (') for the UNB segment when the data is transformed from EDIFACT 99A TO 95B.

  • The system threw an error while defining multiple Transaction or Template parameters in a Template and the value size reached 4000 bytes.

  • Issue related to switching to and using the Apache Camel connector in Adeptia Connect.

  • Issue related to the exhausted memory while running the mapping in streaming mode. 
  • The system throws an error and does not connect to the SFTP server using Apache Camel if the FTP password contains a special character.
  • While creating a Web Form of Transaction/Template type, if the user enters the wrong Relative Path in Transaction/Template Page URL field, the screen gets frozen.
  • The user does not get the date output in expected format in excel layout.
  • The Non-EDI B2B process flow fails and throws a Null error at CP_RoutingRelationship custom plugin activity when Mail is used as a target using archive option. 

  • While processing multiple excel sheets in a single workbook at the target in Excel Schema, the second worksheet data starts from row one (1) even if the Row Start Position has been set to two (2).

  • Issue related to the EDI schema not getting validated because of the invalid character, asterisk (*). 

  • Issue related to XSL display in Web Mapper. 
  • The execution of an EDI Outbound Relationship is getting failed if it has been defined with Content based routing and namespace. 

  • While transforming an XML file into an EDIFACT, the special characters such as single quotes and colons are prefixed with “null” value in the target EDI file.

  • When using Promote option for Migrating Objects from the Source environment to Target environment, the zip file contains the deleted activities. 
  • Issue related to the data splitter custom plugin performance in handling the large data. 
  • Issue related to the parsing of date value in excel layout.
  • Issue related to the permission for an activity created in Adeptia Connect is getting changed to default when the activity is being modified.
