Testing Text Layout

In order to test a layout, you have to upload another source file. When a layout is tested, it parses the uploaded file as per the structure defined in the layout and generates the output and error files.

Follow the below steps to test the text layout:

  1. Click the Test layout  button from the toolbar. By default, this displays the defined text layout which are parsed successfully in XML View tab.



  2. Click Test  button and browse the file which you want to upload. Ensure that the uploaded file extension is .txt.
  3. This will test and display the uploaded file according to the defined layout.
  4. You can view the the error records by clicking Error View tab.

You can also download the XML file by clicking the Download XML  button.
