Managing Objects

You can manage Users and Partners accounts, mappings and layouts (data formats), EDI objects (Data Dictionary and ISA envelope), and Process Flow created in Adeptia Connect through Manage Objects screen. However, you cannot edit or delete any account, mapping, layout, process flow, and EDI objects if these are edited in the Developer's Studio. In this case, such accounts, mappings, layouts, process flows, and EDI objects are not listed in the Manage Objects screen.

The Manage Objects screen has four sections:

  • Accounts: For managing all your Source and Destination application accounts created in Adeptia Connect.
  • Layouts & Mappings: For managing all your layouts, mappings, and value map created in Adeptia Connect. You can also create the layout and value map from this section and use it while creating a Template or Transaction.
  • EDI: For managing all your EDI objects (Data Dictionary and ISA envelope) created in Adeptia Connect. You can also create Data Dictionary from this section and use it while creating a Template or Transaction.
  • Services: For publishing a Process Flow. 

Accessing and Managing Manage Objects screen

  1. Click Account > Manage Objects.



  2. On the Manage Objects screen, click the appropriate section from the left menu, as per your requirement.
  3. Click the appropriate subsection whose account you want to manage. The list of names will populate on the right side of the screen.



  4. Do either of the following:
    • Click  to edit. On the Edit window, edit the details you want to edit and click Save.
    • Click  to copy. On the Copy window, provide the name and click Save
    • Click  to delete. Click Yes, when prompted to confirm.
    • In case of OAuth, you can only disconnect the accounts by clicking . Click Yes, disconnect it, when prompted to confirm.

    • Click to publish a process flow as a Post Process or Template. Click Yes, publish it when prompted to confirm. If you publish Process Flow as a Post Process then you can use the Process Flow while creating a Post Process Template. If you publish Process Flow as a Template then you can use the Process Flow while creating a Custom Template. 

Creating EDI Data Dictionary

A Data Dictionary is a collection of record definitions that are commonly used when a schema is created. You can create and define the record definitions that are commonly used in EDI schemas in an EDI Data Dictionary. 

To create an EDI Data Dictionary:

  1. Click Account > Manage Objects.



  2. Click EDI > Data Dictionary > CREATE Data Dictionary.



  3. On the Create Data Dictionary window, click Upload Zip to select and upload the zip file.

     

  4. All XSD's and the values contained in the zip file are uploaded automatically. You need not enter or change any value in these fields.

    Adeptia will provide you the zip file for EDI Data Dictionary. Contact Adeptia Support Team
  5. Click Save.

Creating Layouts and Value Map

You can create layouts and value map from the Manage Objects screen and use it while creating a Template or Transaction. However, you can also create layout and value map while creating a Template or Transaction. To create a layout or value map:

  1. Click Account > Manage Objects.
  2. Click LAYOUTS & MAPPINGS.
  3. Click the appropriate subsection, for example, Excel and then click CREATE Excel Layout.

Publishing a Process Flow

You can publish a process flow either as a Template or Post Process. If you publish a Process Flow as Post Process then you can use the Process Flow while creating a Post Process Template. If you publish a Process Flow as Template then you can use the Process Flow while creating a Custom Template.

To publish a process flow:

  1. Click Account > Manage Objects.



  2. Click Services > Process Flow.
  3. The list of all process flows created in the Developer's Studio will populate on the right side of the screen. Click  and publish a process flow as a Post Process or Template as per your requirement. 

     

  4. Click Yes, publish it when prompted to confirm.
    This publishes a process flow. When you publish a process flow, the published status of the process flow will be displayed as a Template or Post Process in the PUBLISHED column.   



    You cannot publish a process flow both as a Template or Post Process. 
    You can also unpublish a published process flow by clicking  > Unpublish as Post Process.

Creating Spazio MFT/s Connection

You can connect Spazio Server from Adeptia Connect if both Spazio Server and Adeptia Connect are installed on different servers or same servers. After creating the connection activity, you can use this activity while creating Spazio MFT/s Listener and Spazio MFT/s Target activities.

To create a Spazio MFTs Connection activity: 

  1. Click Account > Manage Objects.



  2. Click Accounts > Spazio MFT/s Connection.
  3. Click CREATE Spazio MFT/s Connection.



  4. On the Create MFT/s Connection window, provide the details of the Spazio Server.

    Field NameDescription

    Name

    Name of the new connection activity.

    Description

    Description of the new connection activity.

    SPJMS/RMI Host

    IP address hosting Spazio MFT server. In case, both Adeptia Connect and Spazio server are installed on the same server then type localhost.

    SPJMS/RMI Port

    Port number hosting Spazio MFT server, default is 1099.

    ActiveMQ Url

    URL of the Active MQ Spazio server in the format: tcp://><IP_address_hosting_Spazio_Server>:<port_number_hosting_Spazio_server.

    If you are using Spazio MFT server port other than the default port number (1099) then provide the port number in the URL otherwise keep it 57101. 

    Logging

    Whether you want to generate logs or not.

    Queue Manager

    Name of the queue manager created in the Spazio MFT server.

    User Id

    User id of the Spazio server.

    Password

    Password of the Spazio server.

  5. Click Test to test the connection with the Spazio server.
  6. Clcik Save.
