Granular Access Control of Adeptia Connect provides role-based access control to LDAP groups of users. In Adeptia Connect, you can map LDAP groups to a set of roles to be able to perform a specific set of actions.

You can assign multiple roles to an LDAP group of Company and Partner users.

Prerequisites

You must meet the following requirements before you can map an LDAP group to a role:

  • Only System Admin users can map an LDAP group to a role. Ensure that you log in to Adeptia Connect as a Sys Admin.
  • Ensure that LDAP and GAC features are enabled.

Steps to Map LDAP Group to Role

  1. Click Account > Settings.

  2. Expand the Application Settings in the left panel.
  3. Select LDAP.
  4. Click the Group Role Mapping tab.
  5. In the Select LDAP Group field, select an LDAP group of users.

You can search the LDAP Group from the 'Select LDAP Group' field. If you enter the first alphabet of your LDAP group name then it will display the list of group names starting with that alphabet.
  6. In the Company/Partner field, specify Company or Partner the LDAP group of users belong to.

You can search the Company/Partner from the Company/Partner field. If you enter the first alphabet of your Company/Partner name, it will display the list of names starting with that alphabet.

You can select either multiple companies or partners in the Company/Partner field, and map to a set of roles.

You cannot select a company and a partner together in the Company/Partner field as roles for company and partners users are different.

  7. In the Role field, select roles that you want to assign to the selected group of users.
  8. In the Default Role field, select a default role.
You can map another set of roles to the same LDAP group by clicking the Add More  icon. In case you want to map a set of roles to another LDAP group, click .
  9. Click Save.
A message is displayed stating "Mapping saved successfully."
