Copying an EDI Template

You can now copy an EDI Template and use it for creating another EDI Template. When you copy an EDI Template, all the accounts, layouts, and mapping used in the Template will get copied to another Template.
Follow the steps given below to create a copy of an EDI Template:
- Click Configure > Templates.
- On the Templates screen, select an EDI Template and click More > Create Copy.
On the Create Copy screen, provide the name and description of the Template. The name and description of the Template are generated automatically based on the selected Template. You can edit the Template name, description, Network and EDI Configuration.
Important
As a prerequisite to creating a copy, you need to change one of the following EDI configuration parameters.
- EDI Standard Version
- Transaction Set Code
- EDI Configuration section will be displayed only when you have not checked the Partner will define this step checkbox at the EDI Configuration step while creating the template.
- Based on selected EDI template (Inbound/Outbound) EDI Configuration parameters will differ.
- Click Copy & Edit to copy the template and open it in edit mode.
- Edit the Template as per your requirement and click Save & Exit.
