These steps are performed on the source system where Adeptia Server is installed.  

  1. Select Export on the Environment Promotion Actions screen and click Next.

  2. Click Browse to select the directory where Adeptia Server is installed, for example, C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite \AdeptiaSuite-6.1_ _AdeptiaServer.

    In case, you selected WebSphere Build, select AdeptiaSharedLibrary folder path in this step.

     

  3. Click Next.

     

  4. Select the checkbox against the group, whose objects you want to export.

    You can select one or more groups.

  5. Click Next

     

  6. Select the object you want to export. You can either export all objects, all process flows and their associated objects, all projects and their associated objects, or individual activities.

    Depending upon the selection of the action, the further screens differ.

    If Process Flow Objects option is selected:

    If you have selected multiple groups in the step 3 and you select Process Flow Objects option, then all objects associated with all Process Flows are exported. You are not allowed to select a process flow. However, if you have selected only one group, then selecting Process Flow Objects option, will display a list of process flows associated with the selected group. Select the process flow you want to export and click Next.

    Click Select All to select all the process flows.

     

    If All Objects option is selected:
    Select the service you to export and click Next to select the object export filter criteria. Click Select All to select all the services.



    Some service names have changed across the version and because of that some service may be shown multiple times with different names. Following table shows those services and their name.

    When you export a project then the export file does not include the activities outside of the project even if you are using it in the process flow of that project. You need to explicitly export all the dependent activities separately.


    On Select Filtering Criteria screen, select the filter column, comparison criteria, and comparison value in the Specify filter criteria, Specify comparison criteria, and Specify comparison value respectively.



    If you select < list item in the Specify comparison criteria drop-down list box, wizard will include all the objects in the export file that are less than the date specified in the Specify comparison value text box.
    If you select > list item in the Specify comparison criteria drop-down list, wizard will include all the objects in the export file that are greater than the date specified in the Specify comparison value text box.

    If Project Objects option is selected:
    Select the project you want to export and click Next. Click Select All to select all projects.

    If you have selected multiple groups in the step 3 then project selection is not possible.



    If Export Individual Activities option is selected:

    Select the service you to export and click Next.



    Depending upon the selected service, recently modified activities of the service are displayed. Select the service you want to export and click Next



  7. Click Browse to select the target location where you want to save the zip file.



  8. Click Next to start the export process. The progress of this process is displayed in the Logs Details screen.



    The screen displays all logs and on success, a dialog box "Export completed successfully" is displayed on the screen. In case of failure, it displays an error message on the screen and rollback the entire operation.

    Click Save Logs to save the logs. 

  9. Click Finish to complete the process and exit the Migration utility.
