This section assists you in restoring the objects. Before start restoring, ensure that you have run the Migration utility and selected Offline Migration option on the Select the action window.

To restore:

  1. Select the action and click Next.

    Action Name

    Description

    All

Migrates Database object, Data Files, and configuration files.
Database Objects includes Activities, Process Flows, Users, and Groups, and so on.
Data Files includes Data Dictionary XSDs, Custom Methods, and WSDL, and so on.
Configuration Files includes server-configure.properties, launcher.properties, and so on.

    Only Database

    Migrates only database objects.

    Only Configuration Files

    Migrates only configuration files.

  2. Select whether you want to skip or include configuration files and click Next. This window appears if you have selected All action in the previous step.

  3. Click Browse and select the zip file created in the Export process and click Next

  4. Click Browse and select the directory where the target system of the Adeptia Server is installed and click Next, for example, C:/Program Files/AdeptiaSuite/AdeptiaSuite-6.5/AdeptiaServer.

  5. The next screen appears depending on the option you have chosen in Step 1.
    1. In case you have selected All option then all objects are deployed in the target environment.
    2. In case you have selected Only Database option then next window displays the list of all the tables of Adeptia Server. Select the objects that you want to restore. You can select one or more objects.

All objects that are prefixed with ABPM are quartz tables. These tables and the dt_properties objects are listed in case of SQL Server database. It is recommended not to restore these objects as the migration process is likely to fail in such a case, as all tables in the source and target databases should be the same. If they are different then clear the log objects (AU_Log and AU_TransactionData) as it slows down the migration process.

    3. In case you have selected Only Configuration Files option then next window displays the list of all the configuration files for all objects of Adeptia Server. Select the files that you want to restore. You can select one or more files.

  6. Click Next.
  7. The utility starts restoring. If it is successful, a message stating, "Data restored successfully" is displayed in the Log Details window. In case of failure, it displays an error message and rolls back the entire operation.

Info

Before starting the target environment, it is advised to manually compare server-configuration properties and server-configuration-bak properties files to check the selected configuration parameters.
