After you have selected the Source application, the next step in creating a Template is to define the Target Destination application. A Target Application Destination application is an application from where data is to be transferred from the Source application. After defining the Target Destination application, you must choose an Action.
An Action is a chosen event that will be performed on the data exchangeperformed at the destination. For example, in an FTP Target Destination application, if you choose Create you choose Create File as a triggeran action, then data exchange will initiate when the new file is created to the target FTPa file will be generated at the destination.
To select and configure the Target Destination application of the Template:
Select the Target Destination application and click Next.
Info The applications will populate in the drop-down list based on the options selected in the /wiki/spaces/AC2/pages/659860 while defining the Template.
You can also use a Process Flow or Transaction in a Template. For this, you need to select Post Process application
You can select Partner will define this step check box to allow your Partner to define these steps while Creating a Transaction using this Template.The next screen differs depending on the chosen Destination application.

Select the action and click Next.
Define the Target application account details. For moreInfo Depending upon the selected Target application, the list of actions differ. For the complete list of actions of the supported applications, refer to Appendix D: Supported Applications.
For FTP, you need to select the action, FTP Account, and configuration details. For more information, click here.
For File, you need to define the LAN Target. For more information, click here.
For JMS, you need to define the JMS Target. For more information, click here.
Select the Destination application account. For information on how to add an account, refer to Appendix D: Supported Applications.
Info You can also test the connection of your account. Click Test to test the connection. Click Next to define the configuration details.
Provide the configuration details of the selected Source application.
Info The Target application account and configuration details screen differ based on the Target application selected in a Template. - Click Next to select the target data format. This screen is applicable only for file-based applications.
Select the target data format and data layout for the Target application. Target data format is the format in which you want the target destination file, for example, text, excel. Target data layout is the layout of the target destination file. You can either use the existing layout or create a new layoutone. To Click to create a new layout, click . For more information on how to create a new layout, refer to Appendix A: File Layouts.
Click Next to define whether you want to encrypt the target destination file. This This screen appears only for if have selected a file-based applicationsapplication at the Destination.
Select the Want to encrypt target file? check box. Provide the details of the Key in the drop-down lists.
Field Name Description Key Manager Name of the Key Manager. To create a Key Manager, click here. Key Name The default value is the default. Click Next to define the mapping. This screen appears only if you have selected Yes (Convert) and I will define option in the /wiki/spaces/AC2/pages/655669. Define the mapping else data format. Either you or your Partner will define the mapping as specified in the data format.
- Click Next.
- In the Documentation URL, provide the URL that contains the description of the Template. This is an optional field, hence you can skip this step.
- Click Save & Exit to save the Template.
