This section assists you on how to run the Migration utility on a Windows-based operating system. To run the utility,

1. Go to the location where Adeptia Suite is installed. For , for example, C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite\AdeptiaSuite-<version>\.
2. Open the bin folder.

3. Double-click MigrationUtility.

   Select the Standalone Build if the Adeptia Server is installed in standalone mode and select WebSphere Build in case the Adeptia Server is deployed on WebSphere Application Server. In case you are using Migration Utility for WebSphere build, you need to do some changes related to backend database in Server-Configure.Properties file. To know how to change Server-Configure.Properties file, refer to section Appendix B.

   Select the build environment and click Next. The Select Action screen is displayed.

5. Select the appropriate radio button and click Next. The subsequent screens are displayed based on the selected option. If you select Environment promotion option, refer to Environment Promotion section. If you select the Migration option, refer to the Migration section.

3. Select the appropriate way to install Migration utility and click Next to proceed further.
