At times while working with Adeptia Connect, you may come across a situation, where you need to transfer the objects across multiple environments, such as change the object in the Development environment, test it in the QA environment, and finally apply the changes in the Production environment. Alternately, when an upgrade of Adeptia Connect is released, you need to migrate all the data from the earlier version to the upgraded version. This can be quite a cumbersome process.

Run the utility to migrate objects. Before start migrating objects, ensure that you have objects created in Adeptia Connect.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have objects created in Adeptia Connect.

 All the objects migrated to the target environment will be in the deactivated state irrespective of the state at the source environment.

All the Networks, used in the Templates, will be created automatically at in the target environment.    

To migrate objects:

  1. Go to the location where Adeptia Suite is installed, for example, C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite\AdeptiaSuite-<version>.
  2. Open the bin folder.
  3. Double-click MigrationUtility.exe to run the Migration utility.



  4. Click Next.
  5. Select Connect 2.0. 

  6. Click Next to start the migration of Adeptia Connect.
  7. Select the migration action and click Next to proceed further.

    Description
    ExportUse this action to export the Transactions and Templates from one source location to another in a zip format.
    PromoteUse this action to select objects from the exported zip file, compare them with the target system, and generate another zip file for the changes you want to update to the target system.
    DeployUse this action to deploy the exported zip file at the target location.
