In order to test a layout, you have to upload another source file. When a layout is tested, it parses the uploaded file as per the structure defined in the layout and generates the output and error files.

Follow the below steps to test the Excel text layout:

  1. Click the Test Schema Image Removed button layout Image Added button from the toolbar. This  By default, this displays the defined excel layouttext layout which are parsed successfully in XML View tab.

  2. Click Test File Image Removed Image Added button and browse the file which you want to upload. Ensure that the uploaded file extension is .xls/.xlsxtxt.
  3. This will test and display the uploaded file according to the defined layout.
  4. You can view the record which are parsed successfully in XML View tab and click the the error records by clicking Error View tab to see the error records.
