Taking backup of the objects

This page explains the underlying reasons behind taking the backup of the objects before you start applying the patch. 

If you have recovered from AC v3.5 to AC v3.4, you may encounter the following two situations that hold you back from proceeding further.

1. You may not be able to log in to the application as a Custom IT or Business user.
2. You may not be able to edit a template or transaction. 

These two situations may arise because of the following changes you may have made in some of the objects in the latest version (v3.5) of the application.

1. You may have allowed an existing Custom IT or Business user from the previous (v3.4) version to have ownership of the migrated objects by editing the associated custom Role. 
2. You may have edited the parameters defined in the existing templates and transactions from the previous (v3.4) version.

To overcome these challenges, you need to take the backup of the objects before you start applying the AC v3.5 patch. This backup will help you restore the objects after you recover to the AC v3.4.
