This feature transfer activities of the selected group from one environment to another. For example, a project is in the Production stage, and a few enhancements are requested by the client. To incorporate these enhancements, the project will have to be transferred across various environments. The activities of the project will be changed in the Development environment. Once the changes are done, they will be internally tested, before the project is sent to the staging environment, where it is thoroughly tested again. Once the QA team is done, it will send the project to the Production environment.
Instead of transferring the entire project, which could take time, you can just transfer the activities that have been changed. The Migration utility allows you to create a zip file of all the activities (that has been changed) and promote them across the environments.
Ensure that you have run the Migration utility and selected Environment Promotion on the Select the action window.
After selecting the Environment Promotion option, you need to select the action that you want to perform.
Allows you to select activities from the exported zip file, compare them with the target system, and generate another zip file for the changes you want to update to the target system. This step is optional.
