A Transaction is created by using a Template. To create a Transaction:

  1. Provide the name and description of the Transaction. The name and description of the Transaction is generated automatically based on the selected Template. You can edit the Transaction name and description that can be up to 48 and 300 characters long.



  2. Click Continue.

  3. Choose whether you want to create this Transaction for internal purpose or for a specific Partner. For creating a Transaction for the Partner, you need to select the name of the Partner. 

    Only self onboarded Partners will be listed in the Select Partner drop-down list.
  4. Click Next.

  5. Provide the email id in the Contact User. This email id is used to send notification emails regarding the execution of the Transaction.



  6. Click Next.

  7. The next screen would be a Routing screen. This screen appears only for Outbound Template. Provide the value of the parameter corresponding to the variable name.

     

  8. Click Next to define the Source or Target application account details. 

  9. Depending on the Template created for Inbound or Outbound, you need to define either Source application or Target application account details.

    In case, JMS or Database is selected as a Source application in the Template you are using then you need to select the JMS Event or Database Event.

    As in our example, we have used Email as a Target application then we need to define the Email account and configuration details.

  10. Provide the Email account details. For more information on how to add an account, refer to Appendix D: Supported Applications.


     

    You can also test the connection of your account. Click Test to test the connection. 
  11. Click Next to provide the configuration details.
  12. After providing the configuration details, click Next.
  13. The next screen would be Filter criteria screen. This screen appears only if the Template is created using a business application. This screen allows you to retrieve only specific records using AND/OR filters. For example, name=John and Id=12345 will retrieve only the record where name is 'John' and Id is '12345'
  14. Click Add Filter.

     

     

  15. Select the field name, condition, and value to filter the records. Depending upon the application used in a Template, you can filter the records using AND, OR, or both AND and OR filters. Click AND Filter to add more records.


     

    Only filterable custom fields will be displayed in the "Field Name" drop-down list while specifying filter criteria.
  16. Click Next.
  17. The next screen would be Source or Target layout screen. This screen appears only if Partner needs to define the layout. 

  18. Select the format and layout from the drop-down list. For more information on how to create a new layout, click here.



  19. Click Next.

  20. The next screen would be Data Encryption. Based on the Template created for Inbound or Outbound, the following screen appears.

  21. Select the check box and provide the details.
  22. Click Next to define the mapping. This screen appears only if Partner needs to define the mapping
  23. Click Save & Exit to save the Transaction.

    The Transaction is saved successfully and is listed in the Transactions screen.
