Cleanup and Archival

Archival and cleanup is possible for Logs and Data Files via settings defined on log-cleanup.propertiesfile by enabling and defining archival and cleanup schedules. Archival sections have to be setup as per documentation and are not enabled by default.

 Key consideration for defining the settings include  

1. Database growth for logs
   1. Database archival and cleanup can result in fragmented database storage and can result in poor performance of the system for logging operations
   2. It is recommended to work with DBA to defragment database storage on a periodic basis
2. Disk space growth for file repositories
   1. Disk storage for file repositories should be frequently monitored and proper alerts configured and periodic cleanup schedule maintained
3. Archival and retention policies
   1. Archival and cleanup should be aligned to retention policies s applicable. Adeptiarecommends setting up archival and cleanup as per the retention policies
