Create a Transaction

Business User onboards a Partner data by creating a Transaction.

Steps to create a Transaction:

  1. Click on Transactions > Templates.



  2. Click on Data Integration > Use This.
  3. Enter name of the Transaction and Description.



  4. Click Continue.

    Use your first and last name initials to name the Transaction.
  5. Select “Create Transaction to be used by your Partner”.



  6. Select Network and the Partner.

  7. Click Next.

  8. No changes needed here, click Next.



  9. Select File Upload.



  10. Click Next.

  11. Select Convert option.



  12. Click Next.
    Trigger option is preselected as “On File Upload”.

  13. Click Next.



  14. Select Excel and then click on (+) to create a new layout.



  15. Provide name of the Excel layout, check Header Present, and select Import Definition File to upload and create a new layout as shown here.

  16. Verify the data types and then click Save in the layout screen and then click Next.

  17. Skip this step and click Next. Source file is not encrypted.



  18. Select File (LAN) and click Next.



  19. Click (+) to configure a new LAN File location and enter the values as shown in this screen. Use your first and last name initials for the target name.



  20. Click Save on this activity and then click Next.

  21. Select XML from the data format list.



  22. Click (+) and create a new XML layout, upload a sample XML file to create the schema. Use first and last name initials to give the XML format name.

  23. Save the XML layout and then click Next. In the next screen, skip the Encryption step and click Next and proceed to the Mapping step.

  24. Click (+) and this will open a Mapping interface in a new browser tab.



  25. Provide a name to this Mapping and click Create.

  26. Map the Source fields to the related Target fields. Use drag and drop to connect source fields to target fields. Or use Mapping Expressions.



  27. Click on the disk icon to save the Mapping. Once the Save is done, go to the previous browser tab.

    Instructor walks-through how to apply Mapping functions such as String, Conditional and Loops. Instructor also shows the use of AI to auto-map the fields, Data Viewer to test Mapping output. 
  28. Your new mapping now shows up in the Select Mapping field. Now click Save & Exit.



  29. Click on “Yes, turn On” the transaction.

  30. Click on Run Now and Upload the sample source file.
    Go to Dashboards or click on Run History (listed as one of the options in the Transaction’s  More menu) to see the status of the transaction.
