Recovering Connect Portal v3.1 Patch

The patch will automatically recover if any error occurs. In case, you want to recover the patch manually, follow the steps described later in this section.

This section lists the prerequisites and steps for recovering the patch.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have:

Read and Write permissions on all subfolders and files of .../AdeptiaConnect-<Version>.
Stopped Connect Portal Services.

Steps to recover the patch:

For Windows

Open the Command Prompt.
Go to the folder from where you applied the previous patch.

Run the following command to recover the patch:

Recover-Patch.bat -portal “<Path where Adeptia Suite/Connect is installed till ConnectPortal folder>”

For example:

Recover-Patch.bat -portal  "C:/Program Files/AdeptiaConnect/AdeptiaConnect-x.x/ConnectPortal"

Once the patch is recovered, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Start Connect Portal

For Linux

Open the Terminal.
Go to the directory from where you applied the previous patch.

Run the following command to recover the patch:

./Recover-Patch.sh -portal <Path where Adeptia Connect is installed till ConnectPortal folder>

For example:

./Recover-Patch.sh -portal /mnt/AdeptiaConnect-x.x/ConnectPotal

Once the patch is recovered, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Start Connect Portal.

Post Recovery Steps:

After recovery of this patch, you will have to manually perform these steps:

Paste the backup catalina.properties file (that you had saved as backup) at the …<ConnectPortalInstallFolder>\conf location.
Paste the backup securityContext.xml file (that you had saved as backup) at the …<ConnectPortalInstallFolder>\resources_config\saml location.
Paste the backup shutdown.sh file (that you had saved as backup) at the …<ConnectPortalInstallFolder>\bin location.
Paste the backup web.xml file (that you had saved as backup) at the …<ConnectPortalInstallFolder>\conf location.
