LDAP (Light Weight Directory Access Protocol) is an application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services from LDAP server over an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The LDAP directory services provide an organized set of records, often with a hierarchical structure such as a corporate email directory.

Adeptia Connect uses its own database to store user information. Whenever you log in to Adeptia Connect, the usernames and passwords get authenticated from the Adeptia Connect database. You can also configure Adeptia Connect to use an LDAP Server for authentication. For this, you need to configure LDAP Server properties in Adeptia Suite to allow LDAP users to access Adeptia Connect. When a user logs in to Adeptia Connect, the username and password get authenticated from LDAP Server.

The registered LDAP users can create Networks, Partners, Templates, and Transactions in Adeptia Connect, but can not invite other users.
