Viewing Grafana Dashboard

To view the application metrices dashboard, you need to configure the data source in Grafana. Inthis case, Prometheus is the data source. 

Configuring the data source in Grafana

Follow the instructions given below to configure the data source.

1. Log in to Grafana and configure the data source.

   What would be the Grafana URL depends upon how you have exposed Grafana.
2. Click the "cogwheel" in the sidebar to open the Configuration menu.
3. Click on "Data Sources".
4. Click on "Add data source".
5. Select "Prometheus" as the type.
6. Set the appropriate Prometheus server URL (for example, http://localhost:9090/)(URL depends upon how Prometheus has been exposed)
7. Adjust other data source settings as desired (for example, choosing the right Access method).
8. Click "Save & Test" to save the new data source.

Importing the Grafana dashboard.

Adeptia provides a few dashboards in JSON format that you can import to view the application metrices. You can also customize these JSON files based on your requirement. Follow the steps given below to import the dashboard.

1. Log in to Grafana.
2. Go to Dashboards >> Browse.
   
3. Click Import.
4. On the Import page, click Upload JSON file to browse and select the dashboard provided by Adeptia.
