You can also compare the activities of the source and target environments to find their differences. The differences can be viewed in the generated XML file. It contains information and view the comparison of the new and modified activities . Same activities, that is, with no difference at source and destination are not included in this only in the generated XML file.    

Before you start comparing, ensure that you have run the Migration utility.

To compare objects:

  1. Type 2 to compare and press ENTER from the keyboardkey.



  2. Type the location of the zip file with the zip file name that you want to compare with the target environment and press ENTER from the keyboardkey.



  3. Type Provide the Adeptia Suite location (install directory till Adeptia Server ) on which the zip is to be deployed, for example, C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite\AdeptiaSuite-<version>\AdeptiaServer and press ENTER from the keyboardfolder from where you want to compare the objects and press ENTER key.



  4. Depending on the objects (Transactions, Templates, or Web Forms) in the specified zip, you need to select the object(s) that you want to compare at with the target environment. Select the objects and press ENTER from the keyboardkey. You can separate multiple objects by with a comma (,) , or in the range (1-10) , or a combination of both (1, 2, 5-10, 12-15, 20).
  5. Type the file location with the file name that will be created after objects comparison in XML format and press ENTER from the keyboardkey



  6. The utility starts comparing the objects. Once the source and target data are compared successfully, a message stating Object Comparison successfully done appears and an XML file is generated with the specified name and location. You can access the same to compare the objects at source and target.
