Use Create a File Template if your Partner is using a file system, for example, File Source, or message type application, for example, Email or JMS. After creating a Template, you must activate and share it with your Partners. The Partners will use this shared Template to create a Transaction for exchanging data.

Inbound Template helps in receiving data from the Partner. In this Template, your Partner can define the Source application with configuration details and Company defines the configuration for the destination.
Outbound Template helps in sending data to the Partner. In this Template, Company defines the Source application with configuration details and your Partner can define the configuration for the destination.
