Defining Failover Server

Failover server will be defined on your JSCAPE primary server. To define:

  1. Login to the JSCAPE MFT Server Web Interfaceweb interface.
  2. Go to Server > Settings



  3. The Settings dialog box appears. Select the Failover option from  from the left menu.
  4. In the Failover tab, provide the IP/Hostname, Port, username, and other credentials of the secondary server to be used as Failover.
  5. Click Synchronize State to synchronize the configurations of the primary and secondary server for the first time. Also, you can perform this whenever you want to synchronize the data between the servers manually.

  6. Select the Enable automatic failover synchronization check box after that box for synchronizing any configuration change on the primary server with the secondary server in real-time.
  7. Select the  Start domain/Services after synchronization check box to start the domain services on the secondary server after the synchronization is performed because at the time of synchronization domain services are stopped at the secondary server.

  8. Now, go to the IP Substitution tab and provide .
  9. Click Add.
    the Add Rule window appears.
  10. Provide the IP address of the primary server in the IP text box and the IP address of the Failover server in the Substitution IP text box.



  11. Click OK.
