| We strongly recommend that you contact Adeptia Support Team in case you need to upgrade the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). However, here are the steps which will help you correctly upgrade the JRE - Download the JRE that your Operating System supports.
- Unzip the file (in case it is a zipped file) and save it on your system.
- Open the extracted folder and rename 'jre<version>' folder to 'jre'.
- Now download two files 'local_policy.jar' and 'US_export_policy.jar' for the new JRE version you are installing.
- Copy these files in the jre\lib\security folder.
- Now open C:\Program Files\AdeptiaSuite\AdeptiaSuite-x.x
- Rename the existing 'jre' folder (say 'jre_bckup'). We keep the existing jre version as a back up in case the new installation fails.
- Copy the new 'jre' folder created in Step 3 at this location.
