After you have selected the Source application, the next step in creating a Template is to define the Target Destination application. A Target Application Destination application is an application from where data is to be transferred from the Source application. After defining the Target Destination application, you must choose an Action.
An Action is performed at the target locationdestination. For example, in an FTP Target Destination application, if you choose Create File as an action, then a file will be generated at the target locationdestination.
To select and configure the Target Destination application of the Template:
Select the Target Destination application and click Next.
Info You can also use a Process Flow or Transaction in a Template. For this, you need to select Post Process application. For more information, click here.
Select the action and click Next.
Info The list of actions differs for the selected Target Destination application. For the complete list of actions of the supported applications, refer to Appendix D: Supported Applications.
Info The next steps differ depending on the selected Destination application. Select the Target Destination application account. You can either use an existing account or create a new one. Click
to add a new account.
Info Click Test to test the connection to your account. Click Next to define the configuration details.
Provide the configuration details of the selected Target Destination application.

Select the target data format and data layout for the Target Destination application. Target data format is the format in which you want the target destination file, for example, text, excel. Target data layout is the layout of the target destination file. You can either use an existing layout or create a new one. Click
to create a new layout. For information on how to create a new layout, refer to Appendix A: File Layouts.
Click Next to define whether you want to encrypt the target destination file. This screen appears only if have selected a file-based application at the TargetDestination.
Select the Want to encrypt target file? check box. Provide the details of the Key in the drop-down lists.
Field Name Description Key Manager Name of the Key Manager. To create a Key Manager, click here. Key Name The default value is the default. Click Next to define the mapping. This screen appears only if you have selected Yes (Convert) option in the data format. Either you or your Partner will define the mapping as specified in the data format.
- Click Next.
- In the Documentation URL, provide the URL that contains the description of the Template.
- Click Save & Exit to save the Template.
