Using Migration utility, you can export:

  • either Transactions or Templates or Web Forms. 
  • all Transactions or a single Transaction.
  • all Templates or a single Template. 
  • all Web Forms or a single Web Form

Prerequisites:

Ensure that you have:

  • Created Web Forms, Transactions, and Templates in Adeptia Connect.
  • Run the Migration utility.

Exporting Templates

Exporting Web FormsYou can deploy objects in Adeptia Connect, using Migration utility. You must have an exported zip file to deploy.

Before start deploying, ensure that you have run the Migration utility.

To deploy objects:

  1. Type 3 to deploy and press ENTER key.

  2. Follow the utility to provide the:

    1. Location of the source zip file, and

    2. Location of the Adeptia Suite (till AdeptiaServer directory) on which the zip is to be deployed.
  3. Press ENTER key.

  4. Type Y to retain objects at the target else type N. If you type Y then you need to provide the location where retain.xml file is stored to retain objects at the target.
  5. Press ENTER key.
  6. Type Y to select the user ownership.  If you type y then you need to select the user to give ownership of the migrated objects. If you select a user, all the migrated objects will be assigned to the user. In case you don't select, all the users with migrated objects from the source environment will move to the target environment.
  7. Press ENTER key.
  8. The utility starts deploying the objects. A message "Objects successfully deployed" confirms objects have been deployed successfully. In case of failure, it displays an error message and rollbacks the entire operation.
