Vault or Password Vault is a repository that keeps a collection of passwords confidential information at a secure location. Adding  Vault provides a robust security level, by adding more security while saving a new password or accessing your stored passwords. Vault provides you with a robust security level.

Creating Vault

and accessing the classified data. Instead of storing information as a plain text, Vault is used to securely save and fetch data in an encrypted form. The following domains use Vault:

  • DB Info
  • Custom Plugins
  • Consumers
  • Put Content Variables

Create Vault and Keys

To create a Vault and define its custom keys to store and fetch passwords:

  1. Go to Develop > Services > Security > Vault



  2. Click Create New.



  3. Type the name and description of the new Vault.



  4. As you type the name in Step3By default, Vault Alias field gets populated with the name of the vault by defaultname will be same as that of the Vault Name. You can change the Vault Alias name before you hit Save. Once saved, you cannot modify the Alias namefield.

  5. Type a key and its value. By default a key with the user's login credentials are is populated by default. You can replace them with new values.

  6. Click Add to add a new Parameter.



  7. Click  to view the masked passwords. The icon changes to Image Removed. Click on this icon to hidden values. Click Image Added to mask the pasword again. You can  To delete any parameter by clicking a parameter parameter, click  in front of the particular parameterit.



  8. Expand Advanced Properties to change the project and owner of this vault. Also provide permission of Read, Write, and , Execute to Owner, Group, and , Others. Note that Read permission is necessary if either Write or. Execute or, both is being given to any user group.
  9. Click Save.

Adding Filters

You can sort any column ascending or descending based on your requirement.

Show/Hide Columns

  1. Hover the mouse over the desired column name. Click on down arrow that appears.
  2. Scroll down to 'Columns' option to expand a list of Columns available to add in the view. Select the checkboxes for the columns you want to see in the view and uncheck the columns you don't want to see in the view.

  3. Click Save.

Edit Vault

  1. Click the valult name or, Click  next to the Vault you wish to edit, and select Edit.



  2. You can edit the information in the window that appears. Note that you cannot rename Alias once it is created. Other details that cannot be modified are 'Creation Date', 'Modified Date' and, 'Last Modified by'.

  1. Click  next to the Vault you wish to view.
  2. Project

    Click 'View'. A new window will open up with information about the vault.

Check in vault

  1. Click  next to the desired Vault and select 'Check in'
  2. Add a comment (optional) in the window that appears and click 'Commit'



  3. A status window appears notifying the checkin status and revision number where the particular vault activity is checked in. Cick OK.
